Eligibility Criteria
You must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- You are a current student on track to earn your first bachelor’s degree by August 2026
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2020 or later)
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago and were 30 years old or younger on January 1, 2025
You must also meet McGill’s admission requirements, including any degree and language requirements, for the specific master’s program you intend to apply for.
Eligible Programs
McCall MacBain Scholarships fund full-time master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate programs at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Eligible programs include (but are not limited to):
- MA, MSc, MEd, MMus, LLM, MArch, MEng, MSW, MBA
- Certain graduate diploma programs may also be eligible
- Medicine (MD), Dentistry (DMD), and PhDs are not eligible
Application Deadlines for 2026 Admission
For students/graduates of universities in Canada and the United States, and Canadians abroad:
- Deadline: September 24, 2025
- Time: 4:00 PM Eastern Time
For students/graduates of universities in other countries:
- Deadline: August 20, 2025
- Time: 4:00 PM Eastern Time
How to Apply
You must complete the McCall MacBain Scholarship application in addition to applying for admission to an eligible McGill program.
The application includes:
- Personal essays
- References
- Transcripts
- Proof of eligibility
- Participation in a multi-stage selection process, including regional interviews and final interviews in Montreal for shortlisted candidates
