What is the GCUB International Mobility Program?
The GCUB-Mob is designed to foster academic cooperation and international mobility by offering high-quality postgraduate education to students from around the world.
Selected candidates will pursue either a Master’s or Doctorate at some of Brazil’s best Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), with access to modern facilities, laboratories, and academic resources.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The scholarship includes:
- Full exemption from tuition and enrollment fees
- Monthly stipend to cover living expenses (amount determined by each university)
- Access to university facilities such as libraries, laboratories, and sports centers
Note: Students must cover their own airfare, visa fees, international health insurance, and personal expenses.
Program Duration
- Master’s Degree: up to 24 months
- Doctoral Degree: up to 48 months
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- Be a citizen of a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Brazil
- Not hold Brazilian citizenship
- Be in good physical and mental health
- Have sufficient funds to cover personal expenses, visa, airfare, and insurance
- Hold at least an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s) for Master’s or Doctoral programs
- For Doctoral applicants: hold a Master’s degree where required by the chosen program
How to Apply
You may apply for up to five programs at different universities across Brazil.

- Identification document (passport or national ID)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Undergraduate diploma or official graduation certificate
- For Doctoral applicants: Master’s diploma (if required by the chosen program)
- Essay 1: Academic and professional expectations (approximately 1,000 words)
- Essay 2: Research proposal (up to 4,000 words)
Optional: If you are a university professor, you may submit proof of employment.

Important Points to Remember
- You must purchase international health insurance valid for the entire duration of your stay in Brazil.
